Lesson 53 | 02/01/26 Revelation 13:5-7 | Rise of the Antichrist pt 3
Psalm 33 is a great reminder of our God and His mercy, faithfulness and His Grace on those who trust in Him and that His plans will stand no matter what or who comes against them. So far in our study of chapter 13, we have covered 7 of the events surrounding the mid-point of the Tribulation week

Satan gives his power, throne and authority to the beast, Rev 13:1-2
The Antichrist is killed and “rises” from the dead, Rev 13:3

The Antichrist kills the two witnesses, Rev 11:7

Remove the daily sacrifices
Set up the abomination of desolations in the Holy of Holies
The whole world will marvel and worship the beast and his image
This takes us now to the next event in our timeline...
The Antichrist is given great power and authority to persecute the saints Revelation 13:5–10-5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
The Jews have been protected by God for the first 3-1/2, Rev 12:6, 14, Ezekiel 38.
But now that last 42 months, the Antichrist has full reign to persecute anyone who calls upon God, Daniel 7:21, 25, 8:24-25; 11:35; 12:1; Matthew 24:15-25
The focus of this persecution is on the Jews, specifically Messianic Jews who believe in Jesus, but also to everyone calling on the One True God.
From this point, there many more martyrs being called home.
This is the patience of the saints, Rev 14:12-13; 15:2-3; 20:4.
This fire of tribulation will awaken the nation of Israel to repent and turn away from worshipping the Antichrist and will worship Jesus as God and Messiah, Ezek 22:17-23; Hosea 5:15; Rom 11:25-26; Daniel 7:18, 21-22, 25; 12:1.
Next week we will continue chapter 13 by discussing the image and mark of the Beast and the current events of technology that are making this possible... PREVIOUS LESSON 52 ← GO TO→ NEXT LESSON 54
